NMi is the main independent specialist for testing, certification and training and is the leading notified body in Europe for weighing instruments according to the Directives 2014/31/EU and 2014/32/EU.
Complete (non) automatic weighing instruments and modules like indicators, load cells and software are tested in our laboratories and/or on site for compliance, with the relevant legislation and worldwide market access.
Furthermore, NMi can certify weighing instruments in accordance with the relevant OIML Recommendations such as: R50, R51, R60, R61, R76, R106, R107 and R134. NMi also helps manufacturers with conformity assessments (initial verification), following Annex D or F of the EU directives. Conformity to type based on quality assurance of the production process (Annex D) can be combined with VCAP and WELMEC 8.
