Clients work with NMi to certify their manufactured measuring instruments for the market. As an Approval Expert, I perform and manage the full certification process, from preparing the test samples to deciding on compliance by analysing test reports. The variation of instruments, tests and legislations make me keep learning and developing every day.
My day usually begins by checking emails and reviewing any updates from clients or colleagues regarding ongoing projects. Then I proceed to conduct an initial review of an AC charging station. This includes checking the documentation and technical specifications to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Once I have done the initial review, I proceed to conduct tests and inspections on the charging station to verify the performance. This typically involves working with our engineers, checking the electrical connections and wiring, and conducting the planned tests to ensure that they meet the necessary standards.
After lunchbreak, I have a brainstorm session with my fellow colleagues learning and discussing a various set of topics, from the newest updates of legislations, industry standards and developments, to the ways to improve our test setup and working approaches. This is always a fruitful session where we improve our expertise together.
As the day comes to an end, I finalize the test reports and certification documents for the clients, I try to inform my clients as soon as I have updates or questions to them. Today I gladly informed my client that their product has passed all the tests and soon enough, they will receive the test report and the certificate from NMi.
