Strategic evolution
Changes in metrology, such as rapid globalisation, increasing demand for quality certification and higher measurement accuracy, led NMi to reorient strategically. In 2000 NMi became part of the TNO (Dutch Organisation for Applied Scientific Research). Then in 2017, NMi was acquired by First Dutch Innovations, moving in 2018 from Dordrecht to its current location at the Technical University Delft Science Park.
With the 2020 acquisition of NMi by LLCP, a new chapter has begun. NMi is currently the leading independent specialist in legal metrology testing, inspection, certification and calibration services in Europe and a trusted brand worldwide.
