NMi secures second contract with UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl)

Delft, The Netherlands — 19 July 2023. NMi, a leading independent testing, inspection and certification company, has secured its second contract with the UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) to deliver third-party testing services for breath alcohol equipment type approval.
As the Home Office nominated laboratory for breath alcohol type approval testing, Dstl is responsible for providing the necessary tests in line with the requirements set out in “A Guide to Type Approval Procedures for Evidential Breath Alcohol Analysis Instruments used for Law Enforcement in Great Britain v2.0 June 2013”.
NMi has a long track record in type approval of measuring instruments for road traffic enforcement for European authorities and successfully operates in this specialist and public sensitive sector.
Dstl chose NMi for this second contract after successfully completing previous Breath Profile Testing Type Approval, demonstrating expertise, quality management and relevant processes. The earlier project demonstrated NMi’s ability and competence in providing the required services to Dstl.
