NMi issued the first type approval for a Particle Number Counter. The requirements of Regulation vehicles for type approval of Particle Number Counters came into force on the first of January 2020.

After a test period of about four months the type examination was successfully completed with a Type approval certificate according to Regulation vehicles and a Type examination certificate according to Proposal Particulate Number Counters 2019 Part 1

NMi, supported by the Ministry of Transport and Water management, invested in the reference equipment and education needed for the type examination before the publication of Regulation vehicles in order to be ready for type examination in time.
