NMI Acquires UK’s Young Calibration Ltd. in First Step of Buy-and-Build Strategy

1 November 2021 – NMi today announced its acquisition of Young Calibration Ltd., a UKAS accredited calibration laboratory (Laboratory 0604) and component testing laboratory with unrivalled knowledge and experience in thermal fluid systems testing, component cleanliness and air flow calibration. This acquisition, closed on 26 October 2021, marks the first step in the NMi buy-and-build strategy.

New regulations in the automotive and motorsports sectors promise to usher in demand for increased testing requirements. Headquartered in Shoreham-by-Sea in the UK, Young Calibration also offers a strategic opportunity, post-Brexit, for both organisations to regain or expand market access for their OEM clients. Additionally, with the pace of change in the electrical vehicle market, Young Calibration UK facilities offer a solid basis to further expand NMi electrical vehicle charging system services and capabilities.
